About FLIP

A paddle game where every tile can change sides

FLIP combines a single-player paddle match with a battle for a 5×5 board. You control the bottom paddle and the computer plays at the top. Your returns paint tiles in your color; the computer can paint them back.

How to play FLIP

  1. Choose red or blue, select a difficulty and start the match.
  2. Serve the ball and keep it in play with your paddle. Paint neutral tiles or take tiles from your opponent.
  3. Own 21 of the 25 tiles to win. Missing a ball gives the other side the serve; it does not clear the board.

Controls

Move with the mouse, touch, Left/Right arrows or A/D. Tap, click or press Space to serve. Use the Pause button, Escape or P to pause. Sound effects and music have separate controls.

Tips for your next round

  • Watch which parts of the board belong to your opponent and look for chances to reclaim them.
  • Recover toward the center after a wide return so you have room to react.
  • Start on Easy to learn the ball movement, then try Normal or Hard.
