About Launch Pad

A carnival ball game about timing the catch

Launch Pad brings a small carnival challenge to your browser. Charge a spring launcher, watch the ball bounce and move the glowing slot to catch it. Each round gives you three balls.

How to play Launch Pad

  1. Start a round, hold the launcher to build power, then release to fire.
  2. Slide the catcher along the board to meet the returning ball.
  3. Finish all three attempts. One catch earns a small prize, two a medium prize and three a grand prize. Prizes are virtual collectibles saved on this device.

Controls

Hold and release the launcher button with your mouse or finger. Move the slot with the mouse on the board or drag on the playfield. Keyboard players can use Left/Right or A/D to move, and hold then release Space to launch. Use the Pause button to take a break.

Tips for your next round

  • Try different amounts of launch power rather than charging every shot to the maximum.
  • Follow the ball after a bounce and move toward its likely landing point.
  • Use the prize shelf to see the virtual collectibles you have already earned.
